Adding Aliases

To add an alias, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Email Aliases link from within the Mail Management menu.

  2. Click the Add Aliases link.

  3. Fill in the following information:

Alias: Type the name of the alias you wish to add. Do not include a domain name. The alias will be active for any domain name associated with your server. Examples of common alias names include webmaster, support, or info.

Destination: Type in a valid destination. The destination can be another alias or the username for an email account on your server, or the complete email address for a domain that is not on your server.

  1. Click the Add button.

  2. Click the Restart Sendmail link to activate your new mail settings.

All email that is sent to the alias will now be forwarded to the destination address.
